Leading the Field in Minimally Invasive DaVinci Robotic Surgery
Dr. Branning is excited to offer his patients who require surgery the option of having a better choice for minimally-invasive procedures with the DaVinci Surgical System. As a recognized leader in this technology, he is one of the few elite surgeons trained in Advanced Robotic Surgery.
“This is the most significant change in my practice in 15 years,” said Dr. Branning. “To be able to operate with this level of precision, increased visibility, dexterity and control is so much better for the patient and allows me to be more thorough.” This is great news for women who might need a procedure but have avoided it because they don’t have the time, due to work or family, for a lengthy, painful recovery.
Dr. Branning recently called on one of his patients just two days after her DaVinci Robotic Hysterectomy. “My tummy is a little sore,” she told him. Dr. Branning explained that a little soreness was to be expected after this procedure. “No,” she answered quickly. “I think it’s sore because I went to the mall yesterday!”
“Any surgery normally done with a laparoscope can be done with the da Vinci Robot,” said Dr. Branning. “It’s such an incredible tool and so exciting because it opens up our ability to help so many more women.”
George Branning received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. He joined the premier practice, Texas Obstetrics and Gynecology, 15 years ago and worked in downtown Dallas until moving the practice to Frisco a year ago. He loves the Frisco community and spends most of his time off with his three busy children: Caroline, 12, Addison, 10, and Ben, 7. “They are the joy of my life,” he said. |
